Seal of Approval for Hard Working Volunteers

Adam Scattergood, Volunteer Nursery Manager, was keen to show MP Andrew Bayly the health of the eco-sourced plants At the Landcare community nursery, plants are romping away as the mercury starts to rise. We have potted up well over 2,000  seedlings in the last couple of months, so the nursery is filling up fast with healthy new eco-sourced plants. In their massed ranks, they look impressive - a testament to volunteers who have put in so much hard work throughout the year.

It is always great to have volunteer effort recognised and a recent visitor to the nursery - our new MP Andrew Bayly - was quick to remark on what great work Awhitu Landcare is doing.

It is heartening to see our new MP showing such an interest in local volunteer groups such as our own and we were very pleased that he was so positive about our contribution to the Awhitu community and environment.
